Game Modes

All six modes are available in single player (vs AI) and local multiplayer. Single player games are scored on the global leaderboard.

Classic

Pure pong with no modifiers. The ball accelerates with every paddle hit and resets after each point. Master the angles here — every other mode builds on these fundamentals.

TIP Aim for the corners. A ball hitting the top or bottom wall at a shallow angle is much harder to return.

🔵Portal

Colored portal pairs float around the arena. When the ball enters one portal it exits the other at a completely different angle. New portal pairs spawn every 30 seconds.

TIP Each pair is color-coded. Learn to predict the exit angle before the ball arrives.

🔲Obstacle

Moving barriers appear mid-arena and deflect the ball in flight. Obstacles move vertically or horizontally and are staggered on alternating sides so they never fully block the lane.

TIP Use obstacles as shields. A ball deflected toward your opponent's corner is often unreturnable.

🌀Gravity

Gravity wells attract or repel the ball as it passes nearby. New wells spawn every 30 seconds, making later rounds increasingly unpredictable.

TIP The ball curves gradually, not instantly. Lead your shots to account for the bend.

🎲Randomizer

Each point unlocks a new mechanic — obstacles, portals, gravity, multiball, and random modifiers activate one by one in a shuffled order. No two Randomizer games feel the same.

TIP Stay focused on ball tracking, not the modifiers. The chaos is equal for both players.

🟡Multiball Frenzy

The ball splits on every paddle hit, adding a new ball to the arena up to a maximum. Each split is announced with a large on-screen flash. Conceding any ball scores a point for your opponent.

TIP When three or more balls are active, guard your half rather than chasing returns — you cannot cover everything.

Single Player Campaign

The campaign is a 20-level single player pong mode that introduces mechanics one at a time. Early levels are Classic pong against progressively smarter AI. Later levels layer in obstacles, portals, gravity, and eventually full Randomizer chaos.

Each level has a fixed win target. Beat the AI to that score to unlock the next level. Progress is saved automatically for signed-in users — guests can play but progress resets between sessions.

Completing campaign levels unlocks cosmetic rewards including paddle skins, ball styles, and arena themes.

Local Multiplayer

Local multiplayer supports two players on the same device and keyboard. Player 1 uses W/S, Player 2 uses the arrow keys. No account needed.

Two game types are available: Classic Pong (all six game modes, first to 7 wins) and Break Duel (a brick-break variant where players destroy the opponent\'s wall, available in Quick, Standard, and Marathon lengths).

Scoring and Leaderboards

Single player games are scored by match duration — the longer you survive against the AI before losing, the higher your score. Scores are displayed in seconds (e.g. 59.20s).

Scores are submitted automatically at the end of each single player match for signed-in users. The global leaderboard is filterable by game mode so you can compete in your strongest mode.
